Q: Do you have an icc color profile I can use for soft proofing?
A: Yes we do, Click Here to learn more and upload the profile.
Q: Do you allow in-store pickup?
A: Yes we do, however if you live outside the state of Washington and are picking up in Washington we must charge sales tax unless you verify your out of state residency. This must be done before completing your order on our web site. If you are buying for your own use we need a copy of your drivers license sent to us using this form. An alternative is to have us ship to you, in which case you are not charged sales tax.
Q: Do you give discounts to photographers selling their work?
A: We do give discounts after you setup a pro account on our web site. First set up an account on our site. Then using our document upload form provide us your business license and either a resellers permit if you are a Washington resident, or a Unified Tax Exemption Form along with your drivers license. The Resellers Permit or Unified Tax Exemption form will allow us to not charge you sales tax.
Q: Can I get a test print before ordering a large print?
A: Abolutely, and we recommend it. We each see color differently and it's a good idea to understand how your display profile matches our color output. We provide a free 5"x7" test print, you only pay postage. You can upload a cropped version of your image or an enlarged area of your image. Choose a test print that will give you the most information about tone and color match. After you set up an account on our site call us and we will walk you through the process for ordering test prints.
Q: Where do you ship and what shipping methods do you offer?
A: We ship to the United Sates and Canada using UPS Ground, 2 Day air, and Next Day Air.
Q: How should I prepare my file for uploading?
A: Size your file to the desired print size at 300 ppi. For best print quality save your file as a high resolution Jpeg and insure it is under 100mb in size. Our file uplader will analyze your file resolution and determine how large you can print with good quality.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: Since each print is a custom piece of art we do not accept returns. If you have a quality concern please contact us and discuss it with us for resolution.
Q: How do I choose which finish I want?
A: That is a great questions and one of the most important when ordering prints. If you want great photo quality choose our "White" aluminum. Like printing on your printer or painting on a canvas you get clean color when producing on a white substrate. The 'Clear' finishes are on the silver color of aluminum where white is replaced with silver giving an artistic metallic look. The gloss finish is by far our best seller and is less reflective than glass in a framed print. If you need something wilth a little less glare choose our semi-gloss finish which cut's out about 70% of the glare. Our Matte finsh is totally flat with no reflection. To better compare the reflective nature of our products compare finishes here.
Q: Can these prints go outside?
A: Aluminum prints are more durable than other print types and many people request a print for their outside decor. We offer an optional outdoor laminate which can be added to a print in our online store when selecting your hanging solution. Please Read This Disclaimer- Any laminate put over a print includes imperfections and slightly diminishes the fine art look. Fine art when paced outdoors is no longer archival. Depending on placement outdoors the longevity of the print will vary. You could get 4-5 years or possibly double that. Best placement is on a shaded north facing wall under cover.
When placing a print outdoors you will need to consider how you plan to hang the print. Our standard hanging solutions are not intended for outdoor use so please call us for special hanging solutions before ordering.
