A: Yes we do, Click Here to learn more and upload the profile.
Q: What are your turn around times?
A: During January through May we average 3-5 business days and from June through December our turn around times sometime extend to an average of 5-7 days. Large orders could take a little longer. If you have a special need please call before ordering.
Q: Do you allow in-store pickup?
A: Yes we do, however if you live outside the state of Washington and are picking up in Washington you will be charged sales tax. If you are a reseller and have a business selling artwork, follow these directions and send us a filled out Multi-State Tax Exemption form. Then call us to notify us that is done before completing your order on our web site. An alternative is to have us ship to you, in which case you are not charged sales tax.
Q: Do you give discounts to photographers selling their work?
A: We do give discounts after you setup a pro account on our web site. First set up an account on our site. Then using our document upload form provide us your business license and either a resellers permit if you are a Washington resident, or a Unified Tax Exemption Form along with your drivers license. The Resellers Permit or Unified Tax Exemption form will allow us to not charge you sales tax.
Q: Where do you ship and what shipping methods do you offer?
A: We ship to the United Sates and Canada using UPS Ground, 2 Day air, and Next Day Air. Prints larger than 40"x60" require freight shipping. Please call for a quote! The web site can not accurately charge for freight shipping and will charge a place holder fee until an actual quote can be obtained.
Q: How should I prepare my file for uploading?
A: Size your file to the desired print size at 300 ppi. For best print quality save your file as a high resolution Jpeg and insure it is under 100mb in size. The file must also be below 200 megapixels. To calculate the pixels multiply the pixels length by the pixels width, for example 1000 x 1500 = 1,500,000 pixels or 1.5 megapixels. If you are over 200 megapixels reduce your file size to create a file for uploading to order, then call us about a DropBox transfer of your production file.
Our file uploader will analyze your file resolution and determine how large you can print with good quality. You will only see options to order the print size that will look good. Call us if you have questions about this.
Q: Can I order a test print?
A: Yes, 5"x7" test prints are $10 and are ordered at the same time you place your print order. Prepare your print file, upload to your online account then create an order for that image. During the order process after you choose a size you will be asked to choose a hanging solution. After choosing a hanging solution choose the optional add on - "5"x7" Test Print.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: Since each print is a custom piece of art we do not accept returns. If you have a quality concern please contact us and discuss it with us for resolution.
Q: How do I choose which finish I want?
A: That is a great questions and one of the most important when ordering prints. If you want great photo quality choose our "White" aluminum. Like printing on your printer or painting on a canvas you get clean color when producing on a white substrate. The 'Clear' finishes are on the silver color of aluminum where white is replaced with silver giving an artistic metallic look. The gloss finish is by far our best seller and is less reflective than glass in a framed print. If you need something wilth a little less glare choose our semi-gloss finish which cut's out about 70% of the glare. Our Matte finsh is totally flat with no reflection. To better compare the reflective nature of our products compare finishes here.
Q: Can these prints go outside?
A: Aluminum prints are more durable than other print types and many people request a print for their outside decor. We do offer a an exterior gloss aluminum that ChromaLuxe rates at three or more years. Best placement is on a shaded North facing wall under cover.
When placing a print outdoors you will need to consider how you plan to hang the print. Our standard hanging solutions are not intended for outdoor use so please call us for special hanging solutions before ordering.
